I haven't done much carving on my pottery, but I've admired other ppl's creations when they carve into clay and fill the carved spaces with glaze, wiping off glaze from the rest of the clay body.
I've often been drawn to geometric patterns and lines. So, when I started to carve this vase, that's where my brain went. =)
