This might have been the tallest vase I had thrown at the time. It was initially a rather un-symmetrical vase with an overly round upper half. I didn't like the shape so I decided to use a cutting and joining technique to create the inward curves with pointing protrusions you see here. This has to be done during an almost leather-hard state of the clay. I used the backs of different size paint brushes to create the repeating dimples.
Inside of this vase is matte turquoise glaze and the outside is amber glaze. I love how the dimpling creates bumps on the inside of the vase.
