This is another egg-vase I made while exploring how tall and large I could make this shape. The smoothness of Terracotta clay, like porcelain, makes it very satisfying to shape. I left the opening wider on this piece because I was planning to pucker it. Unfortunately, let this piece dry for too long that it was no longer soft enough to push the rim in.
There is a small crack at the top rim and a small crack at the base inside of this piece. Luckily, the crack inside doesn't go through to the bottom. So, this vase can still hold water without leaking.
Firing: Oxidation midfire
