Some of the Shino glaze spilled out onto the outside of this vase when I poured it out from the inside. I used a sponge to wipe and clean off the glaze as much as possible, and yet you can see that some of the chemicals from the glaze must have remained, creating a flaming red ombre effect. If I were still in LA, I’d love to create more pieces using this effect.
