The raw materials for making clays and glazes in pottery depend on the resources from our earth. There was an ingredient used in the white glaze that recently became limited, we switched this ingredient with a replacement which mae the white glaze have a shinier and more homogeneous look, the glaze no longer creates significant variability in the shades of gray to white depending on the thickness of the glaze. For me, this was something I missed because I like the shading effects created due to where the glaze naturally accumulates and stretches thin over the clay surface. For those who are looking for more consistency, they have been very happy about the outcome.
