ABOUT vase 32

I was trying to recreate the glaze composition that is on Vase #18. First, I poured copper red glaze inside the vase. Then, I dipped the bottom half of the outside in matte white. After a few seconds of drying, I dipped the top half at an angle into copper red glaze followed by a dip into rutile pink glaze at the opposite angle.

It's interesting that the brown tones of the rutile pink resulted here because it should be green/blue tones in oxidation. I also wonder if the colors did not come out similar to Vase #18 b/c this was Bmix clay while Vase #18 was Coleman porcelain clay.

Firing: Oxidation highfire

Clay: Bmix
